Hi, greetings from Augusta University. I'm Hayley Bouch and I graduated from high school in southern New Jersey. I'm a third year student here at AU, pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I chose Augusta University for several reasons. I wanted to be in the south and far from home for college. When researching nursing schools, I discovered Augusta University had a reputable nursing program. I also have a lot of family friends in the area, and knew of a local church and campus ministry here where I could get connected. Already having a community established in Augusta helped me to choose AU. My first few semesters were not without their difficulties, being so far from home. However, I'm glad I stayed at Augusta University. I work hard in school and building connections that helps make Augusta University feel like home. I walk around campus now and see so many students and faculty that I know and that know me. The professor and student relationships you build here will last for a lifetime. I feel known and seen here as a valuable part of the student body. I think this university will be great for anyone who wants to be a part of something that is growing in a major way. It is exciting to be a part of something that you know is only going to continue to get bigger and bigger, even once you're an alumnus. For students, good luck making your college choice. To the counselors, thanks for helping students find and learn about Augusta University.
